How To: Refill HP Laserjet 1010 / 1012 / 1015 Toner Cartridge

Here's a nice guide for those of you want to refill or remanufacture their own HP Laserjet 1010 toner / ink cartridge. I myself owns one and i just follow this guide whenever my cartridge needs a refill.

This printer uses HP cartridge Part # Q2612A, so this guide is also applicable for HP Laserjet printer models 1010, 1012, 1015, 3015, 3020, 3030. The cartridge has no chip, contains 110 grams of toner and can yield 2,000 pages at 5% coverage.

What is the purpose of putting a seal here (step no 28)? If this is just to avoid the leakage of toner at the time of refill, then it has to be removed after this is done.
If the seal is still there, how will the toner come out of the chamber and stick to the magnetic drum?

Why doesn’t my printer HP LaserJet 1010 print the documents through the USB?
When I throw a document to print on my USB, it just waits and after a minute the hp-toolbox returns these errors are Printer queue stopped Code: 700 and Device Communication Error Code: 5012.I make out my printer is fine since I print with it on my Windows xp. Recently I updated my Pc with windows 7. I had been downloaded drivers for windows 7 from all freeware site.
This was most useful. I must thank you for the detailed information. The manual on my printer was not much help.
